The planned roof terrace and roof top extension of our house in the old city center of Delft.
After our initial submission to local council and playing by their rules, we were sold a no to extend our house.
Obviously not shaken nor stirred we made an appointment to explain our plans in person. We made sure that we took as much reference material to built our case. So after listing to the clerk from council and her situation, with us carefully explaining that no is not an option backed with solid homework. Our proposal was to be discussed or put forward to some vague council commission or chamber orchestra in a weeks time.
Let me tell you… a week wait is agony.
After one week wait…
Yes we are delighted that the council has officially given the green light for our initial plans to extend our house upwards with a roof extension. We are now in full consulting mode with our lovely cool and collected architect E. Tom from Panoptic. Just a few minor bumps to smooth over.
